I bought this game as an impulse one day because it looked interesting. I'm usually wary of games that come with accessories (because they're usually low quality) but I figured I'd give it a shot. First off, the rod itself is very nicely made and sturdy. It has a built in gyroscope that senses your movement so it tracks what you're doing pretty accurately on screen. I was surprised at how nicely it fit in my adult sized hand. It also has a switchable reel to work with righties or lefties. The game itself starts off very easy (I was scared at first that it would be TOO easy) but once you get past the first amateur tournaments, the game starts to open up to give you a ton of challenges and fishing techniques to explore. I enjoyed unlocking different types of bait/rods/wires/boats etc. and experimenting with each to find the right combination to land the best fish. About an hour into the game, I really started having a blast. Going from simple reel ins to really fighting with the bigger more agile fish is a lot of fun. My only gripes about the game are the repetitive sounds and animations for the actual fisherman. The fish however look great and are very varied throughout the experience. Overall I'm extremely pleased with the game and the rod.
