Product Description

Amazon.com Did you play cops 'n' robbers as a kid? Based on Fox Broadcasting's anthology TV series of high-speed pursuit highlights, World's Scariest Police Chases puts you in the driver's seat of a powerful police cruiser in 20 crime-busting missions. You'll be on the lookout for an array of illegal activity, including drunk drivers, robberies in progress, and deadly shootouts. Once engaged, you'll pursue suspects through a dynamic city by taking shortcuts and using aggressive tactics as necessary to apprehend them. The two-player mode lets you roll with a partner; one handles the car while the other fires shots at fleeing vehicles. Review You really don't expect much from a game with the title World's Scariest Police Chases, but against all the odds this is actually really good. The title of the game refers not to some sort of zombie-themed kart game, but an ultra-cheesy American equivalent to the UK's own pretty darn cheddary Police Camera Action. This may sound like a pretty odd TV program on which to base a game, but, cleverly, Fox Interactive has turned the whole thing into a clone of Driver 2--except without the clunky, jerky graphics. To wit: the bulk of the gameplay involves you chasing bad guys all over a massive city and repeatedly ramming into them until they stop. If you don't believe the public is in enough danger from your driving alone, you can also pull out a variety of weaponry to persuade the felons to mend their evil ways. Although there are only 20 felons, all the missions are cleverly designed, and there are even a few that don't involve massive amounts of auto destruction--although, thankfully, most do. So ignore the name and enjoy what's probably one of the PS One's last great driving games. --David Jenkins -- Amazon.co.uk

Fun and a great concept for a game. Just needs improved graphics and in game functions. Still its fun to play
